This Privacy Policy explains how Katenski.ink Challenge collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Katenski.ink Challenge mobile application.

Katenski.ink Challenge is developed and operated by Ekaterina Alenteva (“Developer”).

By accessing or using Katenski.ink Challenge (“the App”), you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information collected depends on the features you choose to use.

Personal Information

When you create or manage an account, you may provide information such as:

• First Name

• Last Name

• Nickname (Display Name)

• Email Address

• Country

Profile Customization

You may also customize your profile by selecting:

• Avatar

• Personal Habits (optional custom entries)

Personal Habits are completely optional and are created and managed by you for your own use within the App. Personal Habits are maintained separately for each challenge.

For registered users, Personal Habits may be synchronized with the user's account using Firebase Cloud Firestore. The Developer does not use the contents of Personal Habits for advertising or marketing purposes.

Challenge and App Data

The App stores information necessary to provide its features, which may include:

• Challenge progress

• Completed challenges

• Daily goal completion

• Bonus goal completion

• Recovery status

• Reward eligibility

• Challenge settings

• Custom Challenge configuration

• Reminder preferences

• Digital product balances, access, and eligibility

• App preferences and settings

This information is used to provide the App's functionality and preserve your progress and settings.

Physical Reward Eligibility

The 7 Day Elite Challenge may include eligibility for a physical reward after successful completion of the challenge and satisfaction of the applicable reward requirements.

The App may collect information necessary to submit and verify a reward request, such as:

• Name

• Email address

• Country

• Account and challenge information necessary to verify eligibility

Katenski.ink Challenge does not collect or store shipping addresses within the App or its account data.

If an eligible user proceeds with physical reward fulfillment, the Developer may contact the user separately by email to arrange delivery. Any shipping information voluntarily provided during that separate correspondence is used only for reward fulfillment, delivery, and related support and is not stored as part of the user's Katenski.ink Challenge App account.

Support Requests

If you contact us using the Contact Support feature, the App may open your device's default email application.

Your message is sent through your selected email provider. The Developer receives the information you choose to include only after the message has been sent through that service.

Katenski.ink Challenge does not independently intercept or monitor the contents of communications sent through your email provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected by the App is used to provide, maintain, and improve Katenski.ink Challenge .

Depending on the features you use, your information may be used to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage your user account and profile.

• Save and restore your challenge progress.

• Track completed goals, rewards, and achievements.

• Store your challenge preferences and settings.

• Process and verify access to digital products purchased through Apple In-App Purchase.

• Manage Recovery Tokens, Second Chance eligibility, and other digital product functionality.

• Determine and verify eligibility for a physical reward associated with the 7 Day Elite Challenge.

• Contact eligible users regarding physical reward fulfillment and, where applicable, use information separately provided by the user to fulfill and ship the reward.

• Manage Custom Challenge access obtained through Apple In-App Purchase.

• Schedule your Daily Reminder notifications.

• Provide customer support when you contact the Developer.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App.

The Developer does not sell or rent your personal information.

Your personal information is not used to create advertising profiles or for third-party targeted advertising.

Notifications

If you choose to enable Daily Reminder notifications, the App may store:

• Notification enabled/disabled status

• Selected reminder time

This information is used to provide your Daily Reminder.

Daily Reminder notifications are not used for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.

You may disable Daily Reminder notifications at any time within the App or through your device settings.

3. Local Data Storage

Katenski.ink Challenge uses a combination of local device storage and cloud-based storage to provide App functionality and preserve user progress.

Local Device Storage

Certain information may be stored locally on your device, including:

• Challenge progress and temporary challenge state

• Challenge preferences and settings

• Selected avatar

• Personal Habits

• Daily Reminder settings

• Custom Challenge configuration

• Onboarding completion status

• Other preferences and temporary data required for the App to function properly

Cloud Storage

For registered users, certain account-related information and App data may be securely stored and synchronized using Firebase services.

Depending on the features you use, cloud-stored information may include:

• Account and profile information

• Challenge progress and history

• Completed challenges and achievements

• Recovery Token balance and usage

• Second Chance status and eligibility

• Premium Challenge access and status

• Custom Challenge access and unlock status

• Physical reward request and eligibility information

• Personal Habits associated with individual challenges

• Other account-related information required to preserve your progress and provide App functionality

Cloud synchronization helps preserve eligible account-related data when you sign in to your account or use the App across supported devices.

Some device-specific settings may remain stored only on the device and may not be synchronized.

Deleting the App may remove locally stored information from your device but does not necessarily delete information associated with your registered account that is stored in the cloud.

To permanently delete account-related cloud data, you may use the Account Deletion functionality provided by the App, subject to any information that must be retained as required by applicable law.

4. User Accounts

Katenski.ink Challenge provides user account functionality to support secure access to account-related features and preserve eligible user data.

Registered users may create or access their Katenski.ink Challenge account using Sign in with Apple. Authentication is provided using Firebase Authentication together with Apple's authentication services.

Guest Mode does not create a registered Katenski.ink Challenge account and does not provide cloud account synchronization.

Account functionality may be used to:

• Authenticate users securely.

• Maintain user profile information.

• Save and synchronize eligible challenge progress and history.

• Preserve achievements, rewards, and challenge status.

• Maintain Premium Challenge access and purchase-related status.

• Maintain Recovery Token and Second Chance information.

• Manage Custom Challenge access and unlock status.

• Support account recovery where available.

• Save and synchronize eligible Personal Habits associated with individual challenges.

• Synchronize eligible account-related data across supported devices.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security of their devices and account credentials.

The Developer does not request or store users' Apple ID passwords or passwords belonging to third-party identity providers.

Users may request permanent deletion of their account using the Account Deletion functionality provided within the App.

Deleting an account may permanently remove associated account data and cannot necessarily be reversed. Additional information regarding deletion is provided in the Account Deletion Policy.

5. Daily Reminder Notifications

Katenski.ink Challenge offers an optional Daily Reminder feature to help users maintain consistency with their creative practice.

Daily Reminder notifications:

• are completely optional;

• are disabled by default;

• can only be enabled by the user;

• can be modified or disabled at any time;

• are scheduled according to your selected reminder preferences.

The App does not use Daily Reminder notifications for advertising, promotions, marketing campaigns, or unrelated announcements.

The Developer respects your notification preferences at all times.

6. Third-Party Services

Katenski.ink Challenge uses trusted third-party services to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the App.

Depending on the features you use, these services may include:

• Apple services, including Apple In-App Purchase and StoreKit

• Firebase Authentication

• Firebase Cloud Firestore

• Firebase Cloud Functions

• Firebase Crashlytics

• Firebase Analytics

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for optional rewarded advertisements

These third-party services may process limited information necessary to provide their respective functionality. Depending on the service, this may include account identifiers, device information, purchase information, diagnostic information, App usage information, advertising-related technical information, or other technical data required to provide the service.

Purchases of digital products within the App are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. The Developer does not receive or store your complete payment card information.

Firebase services are provided by Google and are used for authentication, cloud data storage and synchronization, secure server-side App functionality, analytics, crash reporting, and other App functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

Optional rewarded advertisements may be offered as an alternative method of accessing certain Recovery functionality. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) may process device, advertising, or technical information as necessary to provide rewarded advertisements, subject to applicable user consent requirements and Google's applicable privacy practices.

The Developer does not sell personal information to third-party service providers or advertisers.

Additional information about the App's use of Firebase services is provided in the Firebase Data Policy below.

Third-party services operate under their own applicable privacy policies and terms.

7. In-App Purchases

Katenski.ink Challenge offers optional digital products through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

Digital products may include:

• 14 Day Intensive Challenge
• 7 Day Elite Challenge
• Custom Challenge
• Recovery Tokens
• Second Chance for eligible Premium Challenges

The 28 Day Standard Challenge is available without purchase.

The 77 Day Hardcore Challenge is not sold as an In-App Purchase. It becomes available after the user successfully completes the 28 Day Standard Challenge at least once.

The 14 Day Intensive Challenge and 7 Day Elite Challenge are consumable participation purchases. Each purchase grants one official participation in the applicable Premium Challenge.

The first official participation in the 14 Day Intensive Challenge and 7 Day Elite Challenge includes one complimentary Recovery Token.

If a user’s first official participation reaches the failed state and the user does not use an available Recovery or Second Chance option, that official participation ends. A new purchase of the applicable Premium Challenge is required to begin another official participation.

After the first successful completion of the 14 Day Intensive Challenge or 7 Day Elite Challenge, the applicable challenge remains permanently available for personal practice and unlimited replays. No additional participation purchase is required for those replays.

Recovery Tokens are consumable digital products. They may be purchased multiple times and used for eligible missed-day or failed-challenge Recovery functionality according to the rules displayed in the App.

Second Chance is a consumable digital product available for applicable Premium Challenges. When eligible, it may allow a user to continue a failed Premium Challenge without restarting and losing the progress already made. Second Chance products are specific to the applicable Premium Challenge and are consumed when used.

Recovery and Second Chance options may be available according to the rules, limits, and eligibility displayed in the App.

Custom Challenge is a separate non-consumable purchase. Once purchased, Custom Challenge is permanently unlocked for the user’s account and may be used repeatedly without purchasing Custom Challenge again.

All digital purchases are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and purchase policies.

The Developer does not receive, process, or store your complete payment card information.

The 7 Day Elite Challenge may include eligibility for a physical reward after successful completion of the challenge and satisfaction of the applicable reward requirements. The physical reward is not sold as an In-App Purchase.

Additional information regarding reward eligibility and fulfillment is provided according to the rules displayed in the App.

8. Data Security

The Developer takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

While no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, reasonable efforts are made to safeguard your information.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices and account credentials and for preventing unauthorized access to their accounts.

9. Data Retention

Katenski.ink Challenge retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App's functionality, maintain user accounts, fulfill applicable transactions and rewards, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security and integrity of the App.

Information stored locally on your device may remain until:

• you remove specific information through available App features;

• you clear the App's local data;

• you delete the App; or

• the App removes or replaces the information as part of its normal operation.

Account-related information stored in the cloud may be retained for as long as your account remains active or as otherwise necessary to provide App functionality.

If you permanently delete your account, account-related personal information and eligible cloud-stored App data will be deleted or anonymized, except where retention is necessary to comply with applicable law, maintain required transaction records, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or enforce applicable agreements.

Certain purchase and transaction records may be retained by Apple in accordance with Apple's own policies and legal obligations.

Information provided separately to the Developer in connection with fulfillment of a physical reward for the 7 Day Elite Challenge may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, arrange fulfillment, provide related support, and comply with applicable legal or accounting requirements. This information is not collected or stored by the App as part of the user's App account.

Aggregated or anonymized information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics, security, reliability, or App improvement purposes.

10. Account Deletion

Users may request permanent deletion of their Katenski.ink Challenge account using the Account Deletion functionality available within the App.

When an account deletion request is completed:

• your Katenski.ink Challenge account will be permanently deleted;

• personal information and eligible cloud-stored data associated with your account will be deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required or permitted by applicable law;

• the current App session will be terminated;

• some locally stored information may remain on your device until you delete the App or clear its local data.

Account deletion does not delete transaction records maintained independently by Apple. In-App Purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and may remain in your Apple purchase history according to Apple's policies.

Certain information may also be retained where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain required transaction records, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or protect the security and integrity of the App.

Information provided separately to the Developer in connection with fulfillment of a physical reward for the 7 Day Elite Challenge is not stored as part of the user's App account and therefore is not deleted through the App's Account Deletion functionality.

Account deletion is permanent. Challenge progress, account-related achievements, settings, and other eligible data deleted with your account may not be recoverable.

If you choose to use Katenski.ink Challenge again after deleting your account, you may be required to create a new account.

11. Children's Privacy

Katenski.ink Challenge is not intended for children under the age of 13.

The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact the Developer so that appropriate action can be taken.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include:

• Accessing personal information associated with your account.

• Correcting or updating inaccurate personal information.

• Updating available profile information.

• Requesting deletion of your account and eligible associated personal information.

• Requesting information about how your personal information is collected and used.

• Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.

• Objecting to or restricting certain processing activities where provided by applicable law.

• Requesting data portability where required by applicable law.

• Contacting the Developer regarding privacy-related questions or requests.

Certain profile information may be reviewed or updated directly within the App.

Account deletion may be requested through the Account Deletion functionality available within the App.

Some information may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law, including certain transaction, security, or fraud-prevention records. Information provided separately to the Developer in connection with fulfillment of a physical reward for the 7 Day Elite Challenge is not stored as part of the user's App account.

The Developer will make reasonable efforts to respond to valid privacy-related requests in accordance with applicable law.

13. California Privacy Rights

Residents of California may have certain privacy rights under applicable California privacy laws.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these rights may include the right to:

• Know what categories of personal information are collected, used, or disclosed.

• Request access to certain personal information.

• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

• Request deletion of eligible personal information.

• Obtain information regarding certain disclosures of personal information.

• Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

The Developer does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

The App may use third-party service providers, including providers that support authentication, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting, In-App Purchases, and optional rewarded advertisements. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

The App may offer optional rewarded advertisements through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Advertising-related data, if processed, is handled by the applicable third-party advertising service in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and user consent or device privacy controls where required.

The Developer does not use personal information collected through the App to create third-party advertising profiles.

Users may contact the Developer regarding applicable California privacy rights using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy.

14. Rights of Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

Users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these rights may include:

• Access to personal information.

• Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

• Deletion of eligible personal information.

• Restriction of certain processing activities.

The Developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, new features, third-party services, legal requirements, or changes in applicable laws or regulations.

Where required by applicable law, users will be provided with additional notice or asked to provide consent before material changes affecting the processing of personal information take effect.

Your continued use of Katenski.ink Challenge after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how permanent account deletion works within Katenski.ink Challenge .

Requesting Account Deletion

Users may request permanent deletion of their Katenski.ink Challenge account using the Account Deletion functionality available within the App.

Account deletion is permanent and may not be reversed once the deletion process has been completed.

What Will Be Deleted

When an account deletion request is completed, personal information and eligible cloud-stored data associated with the account will be permanently deleted or anonymized, where applicable.

This may include:

• Profile information

• First Name

• Last Name

• Nickname or Display Name

• Email Address

• Personal Habits

• Challenge progress and history

• Custom Challenge data, configuration, and account-related unlock status

What May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law or where reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes, including:

• Required transaction or accounting records

• Security and fraud-prevention records

• Records necessary to resolve disputes or enforce applicable agreements

• Crash or diagnostic information where retention is appropriate

• Aggregated or anonymized information that can no longer reasonably identify you

Apple In-App Purchase Records

Deleting your Katenski.ink Challenge account does not delete transaction records maintained independently by Apple.

In-App Purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and may remain associated with your Apple purchase history in accordance with Apple's policies.

Local Device Data

Some information stored locally on your device may remain after account deletion until you delete the App or clear its local data.

Creating a New Account

If you create a new account after deleting a previous account, the new account will be treated as a separate account.

Data permanently deleted with your previous account may not be recoverable.

Access to digital products in a new account is subject to the applicable product type, purchase status, and rules displayed in the App.

Daily Reminder notifications:

Purpose of Notifications

Daily Reminder notifications are intended solely to remind users to complete their daily challenge activities.

Notifications are not used for:

• third-party advertising;

• unsolicited marketing campaigns;

• unrelated promotional messages.

User Control

Users have control over Daily Reminder notifications.

Notifications may be enabled, modified, or disabled through the App's settings or through notification settings provided by the user's device.

Notification Permissions

Katenski.ink Challenge requests notification permission when notification functionality requiring such permission is enabled or requested by the user.

The App does not enable notification permissions without the user's authorization.

If notification permission is denied, the App remains available, but features that depend on notifications may not function.

Notification Services

Daily Reminder notifications are scheduled and delivered using local notification functionality available on the user's device.

Future Notification Features

The types of notifications offered by Katenski.ink Challenge may change as the App evolves.

If materially different notification functionality is introduced, this Policy may be updated accordingly.

Firebase Data Policy

This Firebase Data Policy explains how Firebase services are used within Katenski.ink Challenge .

Katenski.ink Challenge uses selected Firebase services provided by Google to support account functionality, cloud data storage and synchronization, App reliability, analytics, and security.

Firebase services used by the App may include:

• Firebase Authentication

• Cloud Firestore

• Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Authentication

Firebase Authentication may be used to securely authenticate users and provide access to account-related features.

Depending on the sign-in methods supported by the App, Firebase Authentication may process information such as:

• Authentication tokens

• Information provided by supported identity providers as necessary to authenticate the user

The Developer does not receive or store passwords belonging to Apple or other third-party identity providers.

Cloud Firestore

• Completed challenges and achievements

• Premium Challenge status

• Recovery Token balance and usage information

• Other account-related information necessary to provide App functionality

Firebase Cloud Functions

Firebase Cloud Functions are used to perform secure server-side operations required for certain App features.

Depending on the feature used, Firebase Cloud Functions may process authenticated user identifiers, account-related status, and other limited information necessary to perform the requested operation.

Firebase Cloud Functions are used for account deletion-related operations and may also be used for other secure server-side functionality supported by the App.

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics may be used to understand how users interact with the App and to improve functionality, usability, and reliability.

Analytics information may include:

• App interactions and feature usage

• Screen views

• Session information

• Device and operating system information

• App version

• General usage and performance information

• Other technical information generated through use of the App

The Developer does not use Firebase Analytics to sell personal information or create third-party advertising profiles.

Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics is used to identify crashes, errors, and technical issues affecting the App.

Crash and diagnostic information may include:

• Crash logs and stack traces

• Device model

• Operating system version

• App version

Information processed through Firebase may be stored or processed in locations determined by the applicable Firebase service and its infrastructure, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

The Developer does not sell personal information collected through Firebase services.

If Firebase usage changes materially in a way that affects the processing of personal information, this Policy may be updated accordingly.
