inkTALK did not begin as an app.
The project started in 2022 with the inkTALK Interview Project — an independent editorial initiative created to document the voices, experiences and creative work of artists within contemporary tattoo culture.
Over time, the project expanded beyond interviews. In 2026, inkTALK Education introduced a new editorial direction focused on professional knowledge, education and practice.
As the archive continued to grow, inkTALK evolved into a broader digital publishing platform — bringing interviews, educational editions, independent editions, art and exhibition materials together in one editorial library.
The inkTALK app is the next stage of that evolution.

inkTALK is an independent editorial and publishing project founded by Ekaterina Alenteva (Katenski.ink) in 2022 and developed as part of our ongoing professional work in tattooing, art, education and independent publishing.
Ekaterina Alenteva serves as Founder & Editor-in-Chief of inkTALK and leads the project’s editorial vision, artist selection, publishing direction and development of the official inkTALK mobile application.
Evgenii Alentev serves as Managing Editor & Content Director of inkTALK, overseeing publication production, artist research, editorial coordination and content development.
The inkTALK iOS application is the official mobile application of this editorial project and is published through the Apple Developer account of Ekaterina Alenteva.
inkTALK includes original editorial publications created by our team as well as selected independent publications and artist catalogues included with authorization from their respective authors and rights holders.
Related projects represented within the inkTALK editorial library, including Katenski.ink Challenge, TattooArt Global Alliance and Art Station International / Art Station Global, are projects created or operated by the same professional team and are not unaffiliated third-party brands.
